My Story
William Bailey (-Gonzalez) graduated from Boston University with a BS in Broadcasting & Film, and from Texas A&M International University with an MBA in International Trade.
William Bailey has had extensive work, business and travel experience in Mexico, Latin America and Asia.
"Aztec Force, Yaomachtia Man" is William Bailey's first novel in this new YA Fantasy Series called the YAOMAN series. It will feature the following franchise characters: Quetzalcoatl "Quetz" Juarez; Juanita "Janie" Mendoza; and the Teen Force (Quetz; two teen girls from Mexico City and two teen girls from China). The Japanese/Chinese/Aztec/Mayan cultural and martial arts comparisons in the YAOMAN series are both fresh and compelling.
A Book 2 treatment is in development and will be titled "Juanita Mendoza's Big Adventure.". Books 3-5 have one page summaries written... and will feature Quetz, Juanita Mendoza and the Teen Force.
William Bailey produced a series of tapes on Yaomachtia in 1996, which included a documentary titled "Yaomachtia: The Jaguar Fights of Zitlala" which premiered at THE LATINO MUSEUM OF HISTORY, ART AND CULTURE in Los Angeles, CA on May 27, 1997. The documentary was updated and re-released as a DVD in 2012. An Instruction Manual was created for the DVD and was co-written by Michael “Macario” Brewer--- titled Yaomachtia 2012: An Anthropological Study into Aztec Warfare and Culture.
Of note, the Sci-Fi Thriller script, LA CASA DE LUZ, originally written in 1992, was just re-written to make it more dystopian and after a future pandemic. Depth was also added to the main characters, capturing more of the country's feelings of uncertainty and doom after COVID-19 started. (Go to yaoman-universe.com website for more details)
